                   I neglected
to share my high-point of the trip. Waterrat was going on
and on about how he wanted to shoot a pintail.( Those Okla.
boyz dont see em much) Friday morning his wish came true.
Capt. Ken Griffin, Cody and myself were hunting off of a point
in Pringle Lake, when a group of 5 drake pinnies rafted up to
our right. After a few minutes of hearing Cody saying" Come on
baby, all I want is one to come in" the group took flight and
skirted over our spread, 20 yards out. 2 shots- 2 mature
drakes. When Ken handed WR his prize, the look on his face was
priceless. Not only was this guy in full color, but he had an
unusally long sprig, for this time of year. He'll look great
mounted! 20 or 30 high fives later, we got back to the redhead
shootin. I'm glad that all of you out of towners got the
chance to see what real goose hunting is all about. I'll
post up my pics when I get em developed.
