Hmm... its a dark movie that doesn't leave you feeling good, but damn the acting is awesome. Sean Penn is a badass. Tim Robbins is great, he plays a broken man very well. Kevin Bacon and Laurence Fishburne are solid as always, and Marcia Gay Harden and Laura Linney do great jobs as supporting ladies. The new guy Tom Guiry does a good job as the pre-widowed guy and too bad we couldn't see more of my girl Emmy Rossum.

I recommend it based on the acting alone, but be warned its pretty dark.

With acting like that, maybe it will win some academy awards.
