Do they really taste any worse than a duck? Personally, I can't tell the difference between ducks to ducks or to geese.....

All a little livery, and not particularly good.

Try cooking your duck a little less. through the breast in a skillet, and cook to no more than medium and enjoy. Something about going more towards well done brings out a stronger flavor in the duck.
