WHat was the number on that band Brad? Something like 318-746-3586? Very unique.

Many thanks to Mike Ladnier and Bay Prarie Outfitters for donating a hunt to Delta Waterfowl and to Glenn for donating his guiding services as well. We had a great time this morning, great set up, great property, great group of guys in the blind. The first hour was awesome action, we wore both the guide and the dog out. Consistent birds worked the rest of the day all the way up till we picked up around 11:30. Shot my first mallard in TX today, so that made the whole hunt for me. I think everybody had a blast and I'm going to let Brad tell ya'll about his band.

Thanks again Glenn!

Doe, I had a great time. Glad ya'll enjoyed it. I wish we could have piled 'em a little higher but that's the way it goes. I really enjoyed hunting with ya'll. We'll have to do it again soon.

ok this post is gonna suck as I am beat down and messing with MY OWN FORUM and I'll add more tomorrow.

1) had a blast, great looking hole, very enjoyable company (for the most part), lots of ducks, pretty good shooting

2) screw off on the band, thats so not cool to a person who has never got one before, hell, who has never SEEN one taken before.

3) see #2

4) see #2

5) Thanks to Andy for the invite, I really enjoyed it. David, it was a pleasure to shoot with you again, Glenn same for you, Kate will do fine after some time. Sweet dog. And very slick decoy rigging, i liked that.

Band story...

Two mottleds came in, everyone had theirs but Glenn and myself, so we unloaded, one dropped, I shot at it, but I wasn't positive if I hit it, Glenn said I shot it, anyways. And the other one was hit and landed about 100 yards away, glenn and I went to get it. Anyways while we were gone Andy and/or David got the mottled and put on a Haydel call band. When we got back, they handed it to Glenn who handed it to me, and it had a band. And andy took the damn band from me.

Brad do you really think we would do that to you? MAYBE Haydels is banding ducks now like Jack Miner did! Great time guys & THANKS again Andy & Glenn ! Brad not giving you a hard time, but I wish we had that on video. I thought you were going to kiss that duck. When you read that band you didn't say very nice words & looked like a popped balloon.

When I got back in the blind I looked down and saw the leg band on the duck and I noticed how shiney it was but I didn't think anything of it. Wasn't thinking anyone was pulling anything but at the same time I couldn't believe someone else didn't notice the band. That was right as Brad was walking in behind me. David picked up the bird and had it in his hand and was holding it so that you couldn't see the band and he asked us who's bird it was. I told him it was Brad's, I know for a fact either Brad shot it or it was very unlucky as I was shooting at the other one. I knew it had a band but I didn't know what type band at that point. Anyway, they handed it to Brad and when he saw the band he lit up. He kept asking if I was sure he shot it and I kept telling him I was positive. He didn't want the band unless we were positive he shot it. When he read it he deflated like a punctured balloon. It was classic. Mean, but classic. I don't think they could have pulled it off any better. The best part was that they were trying to screw with me and ended up getting Brad instead. I tell you, he walks around with a big old target on his back, or maybe it's a "kick me" sign. I'm not sure.
