I heard 7 out of the 12 mallets taken at PP were banded, one even double banded. I know where I'm hunting next weekend. show me the money.

Ya'll joke about the mallards at PP but I swear I have seen more mallards on the coast so far this season than I saw all of the last five seasons. Ask Drundel, Do Knob and DUKFVR, we saw quite a few on sunday not 15 miles from the bay.

Nice to be able to ask questions and know you won't have a couple of hundred barneys headed your way in the morning.
Has anyone seen any birds up around Waco, College Station area.
I hunt in Kosse between the two and was wondering.

Yeah Bill, we shoot them when we don't have anythingbetter to shoot, like water turkeys. They are good to get the kids started on.

I hunted just to the east of you last Saturday and we did okay. Got a nice wood duck drake, couple of HUGE mallard drakes and some suzies as well. Saw LOTS of ducks going somewhere to the south of us. I think they were mostly divers so they didn't care to come down and visit us. We need to hook up one morning since we're in the same area!
