I have shot a few of the PMC steel loads in 3"and 3 1/2" 12ga. They work fine and seem a lot like the Estate loads I have shot but then again 30 yds or less shots on giant race canadas field hunting is not a real tuff job for BB and BBB in any 3" or 3 1/2" shell.

I use #5 or#6 steel in a 2 3/4" 7/8 oz load at 1700 fps for teal but don't think I want to try to take mallards past 25yds or maybe a couple more. The handloads also work well on small divers from a layout boat as most shooting is 30yds or less. I shoot 1oz of steel #3's at 1650 for mallards ou...

Good River Hunt in Ohio

Yes , we even get a few good hunts up here in Ohio when the weather cooperates. :o They are mostly gray ducks and mallards with a couple blacks and a hoodie that got caught in the cross fire. That is a 2 man limit of ducks in the picture for Ohio. The 870 leaning on the tree isn't mine by the way :l...
